Sprinkler Repair Services We Provide
Wetroot Irrigation services all makes and models of residential sprinkler systems across the GTA. Whether your system was installed by us or another company, we can diagnose and repair it. We work on existing systems from any installer and do not charge diagnostic fees when the repair is booked.
Broken or Clogged Sprinkler Heads
Sprinkler heads can break from lawnmower strikes, freeze damage, or simple wear. A broken head wastes significant water and leaves dry spots in your lawn. We replace heads on the spot, matching the brand and nozzle type of your existing system.
Zones Not Turning On or Off
A zone that won't activate is usually a failed solenoid valve, a wiring break, or a controller issue. A zone that won't turn off is often a stuck valve. Both are common and both are straightforward repairs when diagnosed correctly.
Leaking Valves and Pipe Joints
Underground leaks can run for weeks before you notice a soft spot in the lawn or an unusual spike in your water bill. We locate leaks using pressure testing and visual inspection, then excavate minimally and repair with proper fittings and glue.
Controller Programming and Replacement
If your controller is malfunctioning, losing its program, or simply outdated, we can reprogram it or replace it with a modern smart controller. We also handle Wi-Fi setup and app configuration. See our smart controller upgrade page for details.
Pressure Problems
Low pressure causes heads to pop up but not rotate or reach full coverage. High pressure causes misting (water turns to fog rather than droplets) and wastes water. We test pressure at the mainline and at each zone manifold, then install regulators or adjust flow as needed.
Annual Maintenance Inspection
An annual start-of-season inspection catches small problems before they become expensive ones. Our inspection covers every head, every valve, controller programming, and a full zone run with pressure check. We provide a written report of anything that needs attention.
Common Signs Your Sprinkler System Needs Repair
- Dry patches or brown spots in your lawn despite the system running
- Heads that stay up after the zone shuts off (indicating a stuck valve)
- Visible water pooling or soggy ground near a valve box
- Water bill higher than usual with no change in usage
- Zones that won't activate from the controller
- Heads spraying at the wrong angle or with reduced range
- Controller flashing or losing its schedule after a power outage
